I mean i know that COD4 being a great game with online mp will do well but u guys should be supporting your exclusives. Also i here alot of ps3 fans saying they don't want a 360 as it only has shooters then cod4 is your best selling game. talk about irony.

Fable 2,Banjo and kazzoie, ninja gaiden 2, lost odyessy, infinite undiscovery, too human and splinter cell conviction are few of the others. I guess your not interested in these games as there on the 360 and exclusives. But for those of us wanting to play 80+ rated metacritic games these are a few to look out for this year.
Mgs4 and ff are not the only good games believe it or not its a big world out there.
If you haven't realised on this site the majority of users are Sony supporters and the majority of them don't care about facts/sensible reasoning.
Any game regardless of genre that scores high on the 360 they're not into becasue its not the kind of game they like and even though the 360 provides you with the better exp gaming wise they have bought a ps3 only.

The online competition and no of highly rated games on the 360 make it an easy choice now but Ps3 is slowly catching up. Don't think that Mgs4 on its own is enough to turn the tide but its a start.
Only problem is that for £200 over here you can get a 360 premium 3 games and an extra controller. I wonder if blue ray will be enough for consumers to go the other way this year?

I agree with you that lives cost could be a factor but as you said people don't mind paying for quality in europe and the service provided by ms is great. Also the price is small considering a game costs £40 but live costs that for a year. You get access to hd videos, demos and consistent online gaming service not to mention a 10 million+ user bas...
So does that mean that xbox live gives you a more consistent online exp when your connection is good as it does not use pvp dedicated servers?
I ask this because i have cod4 on my 360 and i have not exp lag on it once not even on the bog map.
I hope that this sorts out the lag issues as im looking forward to online prologue and lag would just ruin it anyone played it online yet?
@Blank man you do make a point about piracy but the xbox also had to deal with the piracy problem. in fact the 360 is having to deal with it now and the ps3 will in due time unfortunately everyone wants something for free and have no regards to how it harms the industry.

Mgs is one of greatest franchises ever built but ninja gaiden is one of the best action slash em up franchises ever built. Both will sell well but as far as numbers concerned i can't see there being much difference in sales for both and don't think they'll shift the balance either way.
I think the biggest selling franchises from here on out will have to have multiplayer online.
Hey Guys i have to disagree with you on this one. I agree that mgs4 will sell alot of consoles to the hardcore market like ourselves but outside this relatively small market most people don't care that much about it or some of the other Highly rated games on ps2/ps3/xbox/360.
Have a look at how the previous mgs have sold in comparison to gta's. The ps2 had at the time 100+ million users

When warhawk came out i heard about these problems but i have been told by ps3 owners on this site that the great thing about the psn is that there is no lag due to pvp connection?!?!!?
Have people on this site been telling porkies. In fact they also said that due to live not using dedicated servers there would be more lag problems. I use live everyday almost and have on the rare occasisons in vf5 and fifa exp a little bit of lag but nothing serious so now i am baffled.

There are a few games that i keep to replay and get dlc and this is probably gonna be one of them. glad i'll have access to the full experience.

I don't know about everyone but my ps2 got disc read error after about a year but i had no warranty so had to buy a new one.thankfully ms have rectified the rrod situation and a 3 year warranty means your'e covered.
I also know id rather have to wait 2 weeks for a console that i use everyday due to repair then wait a whole year for a few decent games to actually play a console. ...
Pretty sure ms will hold on to this as it a big franchise to have as a pc/360 exclusive. Also ive heard from members on this site that they dont want a 360 as there are no games that they like so i guess it would not be worth porting it or Bioshock 2. sarcasm
